Religion? Spirituality? Christianity?

The more people claim to be Christians amidst all these evils, the more I wonder who really is a Christian. Is it they who go to church, or they who lead good or honest lives, irrespective of what religion they affiliate to???

The truth is that everyone believes in something, whether it appeals to the neighbor or not. Christians believe in Christ, Muslims in Mohammed and Allah, Buddhists in Buddha and each sect claims theirs is the best, and the others will rot away in hell.

My friend, MaveriquΓ© Richard once said that by religious standards, we all deserve a portion in hell, The Christians shall perish in the Muslim's hell, the Muslim at the Buddhist and so on. Therefore, it's not about religious affiliations, but about what you bring to humanity. Even in Christendom, Catholics believe Pentecostals are not doing it right, Pentecostals believe they have seen the light, and Jehovah's Witness believe they are the best. What exactly are we doing?

Some believe in rigid fellowship of whatever they believe in, aggressive evangelism and the sorts, no compromise whatsoever, even to the extent of not relating with the "unholy" sect. I am a Christian, and I want to remind us that Christ, although he is righteousness personified, identified with sinners. He even went to parties, if you doubt, go and ask those who went for the wedding party at Cana.

Some people shout on top of their voices while praying, and I wonder if they didn't see the portion of the Bible where Christ went to a quiet place to pray? You swim in holiness yet, you won't give that poor person a lift in your car.  You eat and throw away, you wear and set your old clothes ablaze, while hungry and unclothed people live around.

Christianity isn't all about going to church, it's about the heart. We all grew up clinging to our beliefs as passed onto us by our parents, but I strongly believe that the only true religion is that of humanity, where we quit all hypocrisy and serve the God that lives within us and others.

Well articulated. I always say it anywhere and I keep saying it. The best religion we can practice that clearly portlays the idle life if Christ is HUMANITY. Humanity should be our priority.
